The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is a five-seater all-electric SUV with sleek, sophisticated lines and performance capabilities only an EV can deliver. Let’s dive in together and check out some of its many standout features.
3 Exciting Features of the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ
Luxurious Cabin Amenities
Driving is more comfortable than ever thanks to a driver’s seat equipped with 8-way power adjustability and 4-way power lumbar with memory function. The front passenger seat features 6-way power adjustment, and both front seats are heated. All interior seats are standardly covered in premium Interluxe leatherette, and the steering wheel is leather-wrapped and heated.
A huge 33″ diagonal LED screen with 9K resolution stretches across the top of the dashboard. It includes driver information on the left side, directly in front of the steering wheel, and the infotainment system controls on the right side, within easy reach. Google Built-In allows you to access navigation, Google Assistant, and Google Play. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, allowing you to pair your smartphone wirelessly.
Regenerative Braking
When you hit the brakes on a gasoline- or diesel-powered vehicle, the kinetic energy of your vehicle’s movement is converted into heat, which simply dissipates. Regenerative Braking, on the other hand, puts the otherwise lost kinetic energy to good use by using it to recharge your battery. You can do this using either Regen on Demand or One-Pedal Driving, or both systems simultaneously for maximum energy saving.
Regen on demand is controlled by pulling the paddles on your steering wheel forward, while One-Pedal Driving involves lifting your foot off the accelerator; your Cadillac will then automatically slow down and come to a stop. Using either method, the electric motor temporarily acts as a generator, capturing the kinetic energy and converting it before transferring this energy to the battery, increasing your driving range.
Multiple Driver Modes
The OPTIQ offers four different modes to provide the best performance on any surface. Touring Mode is the default setting and is used for everyday driving. It gives you greater efficiency and a comfortable, smooth ride. Sport Mode takes performance up a level by adjusting braking, steering, and acceleration. Acceleration and braking respond even faster, and your steering becomes heavier and firmer for improved handling.
Snow/Ice Mode makes driving on slippery surfaces safer and easier by adjusting throttle control to prevent losing traction. It also slows torque delivery and acceleration, so the wheels can’t spin on wet surfaces. My Mode is a customizable mode that allows you to change braking, acceleration, suspension, and steering responsiveness. It also allows you to adjust the sound enhancement.
